Praise God, Even So

He said, “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return there; the Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.  Job 1:21

Every generous act of giving, with every perfect gift, is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change. James 1:17

And now do not be distressed, or angry with yourselves, because you sold me here; for God sent me before you to preserve life. Genesis 45:5

Is a trumpet blown in a city, and the people are not afraid? Does disaster befall a city, unless the Lord has done it? Amos 3:6

Giving thanks to God the Father at all times and for everything in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Ephesians 5:20

Lord, You mean we are to praise You no matter what? Right now we live in an angry world. I don’t think many even know why they are angry. We have unruly protests, police killings, lootings, angry words being tossed about, I could go on and on. People are losing their homes and lives due to fires and violent storms. And then there is the Covid-19. We may ask, “God why are You allowing all this to happen? But, actually we should be praising You, for You know the future and are getting us ready for it. According to Job, James, Joseph, and Paul, we need to be praising You even in the face of all our troubles, because You have a plan and are teaching us so we will be ready.

Friends, what do you think? Are you ready? Do you have oil in your lamps?

Dear Lord, send Your Holy Spirit into our hearts. Give us singing in our soul, for one day we will be coming home. Make us ready, Lord. In Your precious name I pray. Amen
